for that I would say a straight pipe all the way back.

my stock exhaust with 3.5" all the way back no muffler etc. was quieter than the motor, the stack is considerably louder. maybe a 4" straight all the way back would be good for your app.

My 93 with 4in Straight is quieter than my 05 with straight pipe that I had.

If you go straight 4 in I think you'll be happy.

the 3" is kinda higher pitched and raspy.

How do you figure that? It's a 12v just like any 12v.

I like mine free-flowing and very quiet . . .

What kind of muffler is that?

Has anyone tried a glasspack like the following? I have glasspacks on an old GM 6.2L diesel and it really sounds mean. Glasspacks take out the high frequency but not the low frequency so you get a low/deep pitched rumbling exhaust note. It does well at setting off all the car alarms.

I found a youtube clip of someone who installed glasspacks.
