Default what is a good price for a valve adjustmen at a shop

i got qouted 210 for the valves by trick trucks here in pueblo they do alot of 24v stuff but they dont deal with 12vers too much cause i also wanted them to do my kdp and they didnt even know what i was talking about so im not sure if i even want them to touch my truck but they only qouted me 210 for the kdp also and that seems realy cheap to me cause i know it takes a few hours and i cant find the time to do it

x2 its such an easy thing to do especially the valve adjustment requires a 12 dollar tool from an auto parts store and like three wrenches

yeah the valve adjustment wouldnt be a problem ive done it before just not on a cummins i did it on my first car 93 honda civic 16 valve all i needed for that was a feeler gauge and a 12mm socket but i seen the article in diesel world for the kdp it looks pretty straight forward it justt looks like it takes a long time to do cause they took the radiator intercooler and all the accessories off the engine i just dont have the time to do that how long does it ussally take you guys to do a kdp

The KDP kits are 70-100 and take about 2-3 hours if you have any mechanical knowledge there super easy the hardest thing is driving in the front main seal straight if you have never done one before

They can just be a pain if you have never done them before and without a driver they can go in crooked. We recommend to use a socket of equal size to the seal if you dont have a proper driver. Be sure not to put seal in to far as well. It helps to take a little sand paper or steal wool and on the outside edge sand the paint off if it starts to go in real hard and dont lube the seal unless it says to. Also try not to touch the inside lips
