I do that type of fab work strictly on mock-up, angles and principle - no specs or measurements. The principle is the bars need to run pretty close to parallel the leafs in order to not bind. You want 90 degree angles or close to it on the fulcrum points for maximum leverage. Measurements to me means I take a rough measurement, cut, tack, mock up, grind, maybe cut again, re-cut, grind some more and re-tack until it looks right, then finish weld. Like I said in that original thread, I ended up taking them down and lengthening the bellcranks about 3" after they turned out to be too short on the first try. I'm a systems engineer, not a mechanical engineer.

home made ladder bars are the ultimate if you watch power block the just did a set on super dualy a 1978 f350 on 1998 ram 3500 chasis or stacy david did some on gearz on the cherry bomb shop truck with a big *** hemi or diesel power just did a article called 800 hp cummins build up and they just put some on there as well its a big *** black and grey dually with red flames and 22in wheels all of these tell you exactly how to do it
