Default Starter Manufacturer

What is the better brand of starter Nippon Denso, NSA, or Bosch? What one would be the best to go with?

i cant answer your question because ive never had all the different brands. but i would recommend getting one at either oreilly or napa auto parts because then you get a lifetime warranty. doesnt really matter how good it is if you get a free one for the rest of your life

Well I think it would be more like the bearings in mine, it would crank over a couple of times and then seemed as if it would just stop. So I don't think that the contacts would be the issue. And their prices for a new starter are freakin crazy expensive! So napa and or oreilly have lifetimes? Guess I'm gonna have to stop and price those guys out.

Looked on there and don't see any that have a lifetime, it's either a 12 month or a 2 year.

And Oreilly doesn't show one on their site.

Thats the same part # of the one that I just took out of the truck. Guess I found where it must have come from. Sucks tho, I would have to have it shipped here.

And when you said Oreilly this is what I thought of since checker just turned into Oreilly here. Guess I'll go talk to them and see if they can get it.
