Still did the whole thing for about 250 total so not bad at all

You should have re-torqued as soon as you got it back up and running. Usually you want it to get it up to running temp and hurry and pull the valve covers and re-torque them, is what a few guys have said. But if you actually did the tourqe to cummins specs (which is torque plus degree) then I don't know how you would retorque unless you do additional degrees

Hopefully someone will have a little more info to chime in with.
