Getrag

how did you count your gears the easy way is to mark the drive shaft and the diff then mark the tire it should either take 3.5 turns of the shaft to spin the tire once or 4.1 th turn the tides thus giving you the ratio the getrag is a getrag when i rebuilt mine i wanted to get a new gear set so i could hit 100+ but it was so expensive that it was not cost effective to get the new gears it truly sounds like you did a Miss calculation IMO

a getrag in 5th gear with 3.54 rear and 235/85 tire will go way over 80 at 2700 rpm. thats what mine does with 4.10 gear. with 3.54 you should be less than 2400rpm at 80. maby u have 4.10 gears. but at anyrate you should still be gettin 20mpg+. are u sure your odometer is accurate?
Here is what speeds you should be seeing at different RPM's The top chart is with 3.54's and the bottom is with 4.10's. Your truck will turn about 2600-2700 RPM... Thats right at 80MPH with 4.10's.

thanks guys for all this input, and the tag on the axle said 3.54, but the cover was silconed on, so thats got me thinkin i messed up counting gears, haha im gonna jack up one side and mark the drive shaft and diff and tire. but idk if this helps but with the stock turbo, i am seeing 5-7lbs of boost, if that helps anyone. and would 75hp ddp injectors help me at all? after the fun wears off?
