Default 3/4 ton front end alignment

Ive got the 85 prospector 1/2 ton and i need to get it aligned. The last time i did this the tech wouldnt do it because he said i had the wrongor damaged draglink on there. My tierod ends are both RH thread and he said 1 is suspose to be LH thread. Therefore he couldnt grab the centerlink and twist to pull the wheels in or out.Whats up with my setup? Is this stock?Ive never replaced any parts up front besides the servicable jouints and whatnot.

They should be opposite threads on each side. that does seem strange.

Sounds like a previous owner dinked with it. You might have to go the the wrecking yard and find a replacement. That sucks

shitcrap!I wonder if the PO got a tierod end for a wrong vehicle and used that.I dont understand how theyre both threaded the same.Unless theres two of the same couplers on the tierod. Then one would have to be from completely other vehicle that has a RH coarse thread or vice versa. What is it from the factory?which side has which thread?does it matter?

If I remember right, both sides are fine thread, just one right and one left. How you ended up with one end with course threads is beyond me. Unless, like you said, someone used the wrong part and just made it work. I don't know which side is which, I'm not sure that it would matter....I could be wrong.

any info on the tie rod? my passenger tire is wearing on the outer edge and almost appears to have a chamber/caster issue(top of tire is tipped out) I just replaced ball joints and u jopints on both sides. The tire wear could be from the bad ball joints though.
