Default finally got my truck on the road today!

well everyone i would like to thank you all for the help ive recieved over the past few months with working on my truck. i have gotten everything together and working 100% and drove it for the first time today.

brakes need to be tightened up just a tad, but it steers like a dream and floats like a caddy with those springs up front and the straight axle.

and the engine, well thats another story. let me tell ya this baby moves. when i hit third to fourth and got on it, it slammed me back in my seat when that hx40 spooled up. not to mention it sounded like a jet plane taking off with that 4" straight pipe exhaust

i am very impressed with the air dog. i have it set to 12 psi and when i slam the throttle to the floor, it doesnt drop a beat.

overall i was extremely impressed with the truck and drivetrain was awesome. weve got an 06 quad cab commonrail cummins 1 ton 4x4 as well, and this truck got up and moved waaaaaaaaaaaay quicker than that common rail does.

ive still gotta adjust the wastegate and install the m&h pin (havent done that last mod yet)

but overall i just wanted to say thank you for everyone who has helped me out over the last months, its greatly appreciated

Ha ha. I'm so jealous of you right now.

That is the truck I just traded to my brother for a civic so I could go to school.

This is the one that I wish I still had. This one was a beast and I loved it.

well i drove it around today for about 40 miles, and everything worked well, although ti did run hot. it was running about 240 or so the whole time, never overheated, but was running hot. when i idled the temp went up, and if i revved it it went down. so im figuring my hacked up fan just isnt cutting it.

so thanks to bobby for the info on the taurus fans, i ordered one today and will install it when i get it.

i got my exhaust all the way finished finally at least all the way to the rear tire (still need a tip but thats it) and welded up all the hangers and whatnot.

i took it about 80 mph (according to the wifey behind me) down a country abck road and by no means did it want to stop anytime soon.

im only pullin about 20 lbs of boost though so i gotta mess with the wastegate
