Default What to look for?

I might be trading a guy my 2nd Gen for his '92 1st Gen and some cash. The truck is stock and only has 80K miles on it. It's a 4x4 auto truck. There is no rust but the clear is peeling like a typical Dodge. What do i need to look for on this truck other than the typical 12V stuff? Do the 1st Gens have ball joints or are they king pin front ends? What about the rear brakes? Do you have to pull the axles to remove the drums? What T-case did that have? What about the trans? No lock-up but it should be O/D I think. Any common issues I need to check out? i remember seeing something about a crack in the body near the cowl or something.

Why trade a second gen for a first??

if it's a D60 front it will be kingpin, NP205
don't have to pull axles on rear as far as I know.. and even if you did it's easy!

I like the body style better, the cash in the deal and it's only got 80K on it..... did I mention I like the body style better LOL. It's a D60 front from the pics, leaf spring....good no more ball joints.....

me neither

but for when I do tow man it's nice! now if only the first gen's didn't ride like a bouncy rock....

I know where there's a clean '93 2wd dually minus transmission(auto) I might pick up cheap fix and resell..

I have been trying for a year to talk this guy into selling me his air ride seats.. but no, he's using them (to fill a corner in the garage apparently) for quite some time
