Worth $300 obo with no in-out shaft play but little side to side play?

i wouldnt think so. i paid less than that for my hx40 with absolutely zero shaft play and low miles

Keep looking and don't be afraid of somewhat wierd turbines....
Mine has the flange from an HX50. Even with the cost of an adapter I've got just over 300 in it.
Some said I wouldn't be able to spin it.....Check my sig - it spins REAL good.

When I get the time I'm going to remove some of the divider in the exhaust housing so the turbo will get better flow - I hope.

if it already has play in it, it aint gonna do nothing but get worse

Found mine on ebay...
Buy-it-now listing expired and the seller relisted it for bids.
No one bid so I did and got it - 250 delivered....
A week later I was at the local big truck repair shop and they had one with a T3 flange and said I could have it for 300.

You have to look, but they're out there.

i found mine on craigslist. i went on google and typed in "hx40 craigslist" and they came up through the us. there were none locally so i made a couple phone calls and the guys were all willing to ship

Only thing you have to watch for is make sure the compressor blade is the 7 blade version...
That's the Super40.
Better flow, better shaft, better bearings.
