Remember, Pressure is a measue of restriction.... You want volume to go along with teh pressure.

i think the reason nadirpoint said that was because 500 hp is NOT easily attainable on one of these VE pumps. there are very few out there that have done it, and to be honest, i cant even tell you a single person i know that has. 400hp is kinda the mark you can hit reasonably with MAJOR modifications to your engine. if you want big power like that, the p pump is the way to go IMO

no i'm not talking about you....NadirPoint i have nothing against you either don't take any thing personally... i just want as much power out of my first gen as i can get.... as for the ddp's they work...better then stock. however this summer i will be going to a set of 6x0..016's.... i'm not saying my truck has 1000000000000 horse power or that it ever will, but i will have a very powerful first gen when i'm done.i talk to my pump guy a lot we try different things. i reacently have been disscussing the option of punching out certin areas in the pump so it will flow more fuel and ugrading the head to a 14mm head. as for the reliability of the engine, well you can't have everything. but since i own three other trucks i think i can finde something to drive to work if something happons to the ole girl. all i want is to obbtain a goal of a wicked first gen with a rotery injection pump on it. thats all, plain and simple. it just takes time and money. i'm young so i have lots of time. the maoney takes time to get. there for my progress is slow. so i'm sorry if i have offended anyone

Check on DTR -
several are in the 400hp range or very, very close.
Most I know of if KTA - something above 600 - HEAVILY MODIFIED

There are several that hit 400, a few at 500, and a couple over 600...

Too much to bother trying to list. I stopped trying to list them in my DTR sig because it ran out of space. I claim to own the most heavily modded 1st Gen on the planet. Certainly not the most powerful, not even close. But the most mods of all various kinds:
