Default Turbo for 5x.014s

I have a set of 5x.014 injectors I want to install into my '92 W250. What would be a good turbo for these injectors on a 5 speed daily driver/working truck?

I do not tow all the time (once a month or so) and when I do I seldom tow heavy (usually grossing under 17K)...

Thanks for the welcome

I am already browsing the classifieds, and have a couple PMs I want to send to some sponsors, but I am not allowed to send any PMs until I have 10 posts

Anyway, I know the 5x.014s will be warm when towing, but I am also planning to install a valet switch and eventually twins... My end goal is a sustainable (towable) 300-350 whp...

My truck is all stock right now (except for the South Bend Con O and I am rebuilding the Getrag as we speak), but I intend to install a BHAF, 366 spring, Coolertubez, 4" full exhaust, and PS intercooler... I will likely be adding a M&H pin too...

I am stuck on the turbo though... I cannot decide between a 62/65/12 S300, or the 60/65/16 Super HX40. I am leaning more towards the S300, but the Super 40 is considerably cheaper... Then through in the fact that I eventually want twins and from what I have been reading both the S300 and the Super 40 are too big (for my goals) when used in a twin setup...

Did you use the regular HX40 or the Super 40?

How many blades on the intake side?

Is it a stock Holset unit or has it been modified (PDR, HTT, II etc)?

What kind of EGTs are you seeing?

Do you tow at all?

i just got a regular holset hx40 from an 8.3L cummins. its an 8 blade.

i didnt want to spend 1200 dollars for one so i picked up mine in good shape for like 300 bucks or i think cheaper than that. i just picked it up though and havent put it on yet due to having to make a new downpipe for it. but im hoping to get it in soon and then let you know

You can get away with running those injectors with a stock turbo and stock pump settings. So, you can at least get them in while you're figuring out which turbo to use.

I got my S300 from Jkidd (sponsor here) for a great price. Check with him and you will be pleasantly surprised. He can also get Super HX40's, iirc...

Either the S300 or Super HX40 will get you to your goal of 300-350 towable whp.
