on my other cummins motor i have i noticed there is a boost line that goes from th etop of the pump into the block. on my truck it is just plugged off with a plug on the intake manifold. what does this do good or bad any improvements? or should i snag the line and re hook it back up?

Turning up the pre 94 Ram diesel injector pump
man you should see a **** load more power your not getting max fule as low boost no air to the AFC as its called means no fule

so i should snag the line of my other motor and use it then? i tried doing that today but with the pump being advanced 1/8" i cant get the screw on so im going to have to unadvance it again which is a pain so i was hoping i wouldnt have to do that
or get a 1/8 NPT 90* with a feral fitting and a piece of 1/4 air line and the same to the pump
