anyone know if there is a way to make the getrag a tougher tranny. (besides the whole dont lug it overfill it deal). im looking for internal parts. im tires of everyone raggin on it tellin me it wont handle the power.

so what can you do to these to make them beefier. is there a good rebuild kit that anyone knows of or anything?

The Getrag is just as strong (if not stronger) then teh NV4500 when over filled. The hard parts wont give you much issue, let the nay sayers about the getrag roll off your back... They are kinda like the guys that say a VE wont make over 300HP...

cool. the transmission was just rebuilt, but sometimes it sticks trying to come out of 4th and 5th gear. the guy who gave the truck to me said its in the shift tower not in the lower end?

anyone ever hear of this or know how to fix it more importantly? thanks
