I've got a 91 2wd 1ton. I'm wondering just how many gears there are. From what I can tell, and what I've been told, there are 3 total gears when you put it in drive. Is this true? Is the 3rd gear your overdrive? I don't have a tach so I don't know how many rpm I am running. I just want to make sure I am getting into my top gear when I'm on the highway. Thanks!

 

Do you have a early non-intercooled 91 or a 91.5 intercooled? The early 91 has a 727 3 speed w/no overdrive. A 91.5 has A518 3speed w/overdrive= a 4 speed.

 

It's just a 91 non-ic. I'm kinda keepin an eye out on a 5speed for it. I've never had an auto before.
