Default AIr Bags on 1st gen

Well been thinking/looking into air bags for the rear of my truck sence I tow my mud truck, atv's, etc.. and was looking at the 5,000lb air bags and was wandering if anyone ever used them on a 1st gen and if they work for alot of wait? Worth the money? I notice when I put a load on my truck she squats pretty bad.

Thanks

So they are worth it? What about swaping springs from a camper special truck?

I preffer air bags. Swapping stiffer springs gives you a rough ride when you're empty that you can't do anything about. I've got softer than stock springs on mine and tighten up the airbags when I have extra weight.

Right now I have a Kelderman system that cantilevers the rear spring hangers. It worked great with the super stiff spring packs I used to have, but isn't as good with my softer springs. I'm going to put my Firestone "helper" style bags back on. They're the same as the Ride-rites.
