Default turbo questions.

hey all

i was thinking of getting a super hx 40 or the ats 3000 and i was wondering if i get the hx40 do i need the t3 flange or t4.I know i need a 4 inch down pipe, but do they only make them for 2nd gens or will i have to bend a second gen one.

also which turbo would better for dd/towing.

You need a T3 exhaust flange. DP I dunno, but getting one that bolts right up seems doubtful. Aftermarket 1st Gen parts were always scarce, getting more so I think...

If you get a HX40 get a T3 with a 16cm housing. Anything else is a doorstop.

Your 16cm has a 3" outlet.

I wouldn't consider a 4" DP a "waste," especially when it is attached to an HX40!

I have a 4" DP attached to an H1C - now that's a waste.

That I know of there's only the HX-40 style for the 2nd gen and 3rd gen trucks. I'll look it up tommorow!
