I don't have any picks but if you look at the driverside of the engine right at the intake elbow just below that on the head itself there is a 1/8" pipe plug. If your truck is intercooled you will already have a hole in the throttle linkage bracket if your truck is non intercooled you will have to take the bracket off to get to the plug and while it is off you'll need to drill a hole in it so the line can go through. What I did was put a 2" long piece of 1/8" pipe on and put the line on that. It is actually really easy.

i just drilled and tapped a hole in my intake horn. then drilled a hole in the fire wall an used a rubber fittng in the hole as to not have the boost line rub on the bare metal.

well the intercooled non-IC'd truck thing isnt 100% true since the 89 already has the hole in the bracket. different years different designs that is all; but it is probably more true than false. anyways; he's spot on... 1/8 npt hose barb; run the line to your gauge. you can get the small diameter hard plastic line at just about anyplace that sells gauges. if your gauge does use this type of line... snug the fitting then 1/8-1/4 turn... it doesnt take much to seal the ferrule... if your gauge has a hose barb on it use some vinyl tubing... 3/16 is good for like 50 psi, flexible and durable, pretty cheap too

that works too... could have just used the factory supplied hole in the head but if it works for ya then awesome rubber grommet is a good idea too

My 89 had no hole in it that is why I had to drill it out but every IC truck I have seen has it. It's almost like the factory wanted you to put a boost guage in the truck.

hmmm maybe i got a fluke... no idea; it used to be my aunts farm truck... they ran it into the ground i picked it up cheap and i'm redoing it... 137,000 or so on it... the old girl is barely broken in! but they had the cuddy hard plastic line hooked up to it and i kep crushing the ferrules so i got rid of the hard plastic line and ran the vinyl... works great for me.

on a second thought maybe they drilled it... idk
