Rearend I.D. - 92 Dodge
I keep blowing out my rear hub seals. I want to make sure i'm getting the right ones, the problem is the I.D. tag is missing. I'm going to pull off the rear cover to see if there is any markings on the ring gear but there has to be a better way. I have a 92 Ram 250. Can anyone help? Thanks

11:49 is the pinon gear tooth and ring gear tooth ammount... if you already have the seals out just clean up one of the bearings. have them cross the bearing number and it should give you axle model and even the weight. there's a dana 70 and 70-HD. go from there to get the correct wheel seal. if you have a compitent carquest store around go there instead of advance. i prefer their parts and they usually know what i'm talking about (around here atleast) also. how full are you folling the rear end? sometimes too much lube can be bad. i replaced my rear seals and then jacked the truck side to side for 5 mins to fill the hubs. next day i had puddles of gear oil in the rim. as everyone else has said; the vent tube is critical
