what torque converter?
hey all,
my transmission is in dier need of some upgrades but i don't have then money to replace the whole transmission.
i know i need a new torque convter and somebody said a new valve body.
thats all i can think of.
also when i put my truck in gear it just takes off. i had to turn the idle down the other day and know its back to 800 rpms but when i put it in gear it lugs like its almost gunna die, then when i put it in neutral it idles back up again.
is this because the torque converter is bad and won't let the engine slip?

Try TYPE F fluid. Higher coefficient of friction and it will help with firmer shifts.
Synthetic racing fluids are the best.
Redline Racing ATF
Amsoil Super Shift
Super shift is cheaper. Get an Amsoil preferred customer membership for 10 bucks and you can order it at their wholesale cost. Pays for itself the first order.
