Default Just bought

Hi I just got a 91 dodge W-350 in prime condition....97,000 original miles not a speck of rot or rust on the whole truck the interior is in excellent condition with no signs of use what so ever the engine is very snappy and the transimission is very tight as well as the 4 wheel drive. Just a couple of questions...wondering if anyone has ever lifted one and if soo what brand or style has the best ride.... straight pipes or stack kits preferably 5 inch where to get them.... and any other performance mods i can do to it.
thanks Taylor

Jsut look around through some of the threads, you can definitely mess with the pump, 3200 gov. spring, good exhaust, BHAF air filter. Not sure about the lift, my truck was lifted when I bought it and I have no idea whats on it but its a first gen, its gonna ride rough. You can get alot out of the stock trucks that you never thought was possible.

go to a local GOOD spring shop and have them build you a custom set of leaves with more thinner leaves than factory, the thicker the spring the harder it rides......

and on the lift skyjacker offers the best suspension lift you can buy, but it is expensive, definitely get the springs for the rear not the blocks, the block are not made for towing anything heavy. a cheaper kit would be from rough country. But do your research. It took me about 12 hours to put it on, pain in the but alot of rust.

good luck

yeah, the bolts in the leafs like to stick to the sleeves in the bushings... lots and lots of penetrating oil, little bit of heat and the pursuasion of an air hammer... took me two er 3 solid class periods (did it while i was in high school) so plan on making a day of it just to get the old leafs loose. idk maybe you'll get lucky with a gem like that... sounds like you got yourself a nice truck; hopefully for a good price too... been waiting for a chance to use this:
