Default AFC boost tube fix

so, wasn't thinking... got a wrench and ripped on the banjo bolt. the insert in the AFC head started to come out instead of the banjo bolt . anyways, it's toast. what's a quick way to fix it w/o buying a new one? i'm trying that expoxy stick stuff with horrible results (it isnt even setting up 100%) anyways, i'm thinking about hose barbing it and running a soft line. my boost gauge uses a clear vinyl type line so i figure why not? any ideas or quick solves you guys have used before would be useful to know, thanks everyone

yeah, it was right after i bumped the timing and i never took the line loose to start with... hell the old girl is 20 years old and i'm stressing original parts... if i can get around tomorrow i think i'm just gonna barb it. it'll be something different, never know... get a larger diameter barb and tube faster afc control? doubt it, but atleast it'll work. then again if ya think about it... it is possible... a 90* elbow in a trucks air brakes system is like adding 3 feet of air line to the canister which is more restriction and more delay. match that with reducing spring pre-load... might have something. anyone care to test on a dyno? i'll do a quick write up for it too. open for discussion; let me know what ya think everyone.

as of right now, no luck with the hose barbs. going to price the line through dodge, i hope i dont have to drill and tap the housing. i'd like to see the kind of threads the sleeve in the housing has... might be NPT, in that case i'll just have to get a barb that'll fit in the block, or put a T in my boost gauge line and run it off that. either way big issue is getting something to fit to the pump.

Use a spare afc vent fitting and tap that.

well i got the fitting out and it looks like a very rough cut thread maybe 13 threads per inch might end up drilling out the sleeve or housing and tapping it to a npt fitting and barb it... i really dont feel like paying 80 bucks for a 3" line... unfortunately the thread in the head look like a fine cut instead of pipe thread... idk; fighting an uphill battle.... i'll figure something out and take pics and post them; wish i could get some more suggestions/ known fixes to keep this thread alive... but when you say spare afc vent fitting... where do i get one of those and maybe abit more detailed instructions... i'm sure if i saw it it'd make abunch more sense.

well i cost myself 80 bucks; but saved 72... i took the sleeve down and got a hose barb that'll hopefully go in. i'll be taking pictures tonight and as i re-assemble... cost like 8 bucks and some change after getting 6" of 5/16 hose and two clamps
