Default Transmission Fluid Change Question

I bought my truck about 2 1/2 years ago and right before I bought it the 727 transmission was rebuilt. I don't drive the truck that much at all but I figure its about time to change the fluid and the filter. The issue I have is I know when you change it you only get part of the old fluid out and I have absolutely no idea what kind of fluid is in it. Automatic transmissions scare me because I know how they can go to hell real quick by using the wrong fluid or doing something wrong and I definitely dont have the money to get it rebuilt. It says on the dipstick it takes Dexron II but they dont make that anymore. They guy at O'Reilly's told me ATF+4 and said it was synthetic, but idk if its synthetic or conventional in it. Just wanted to get some opinions on what ya'll think I should do.

Chrysler always ran ATF+2, 3, or 4. ATF+4 is compatible with all 3. Stay away from flushing the transmission to get it all out, cause it stirs up all the crap inside. All you need to do is drop the pan and replace what came out, say 6-8 qts.

That's funny it would say dexron 2 on the dipstick. This is a GM spec, the ATF+ is a chrysler spec. Maybe I'm missing something?
Go with the ATF+4 as mentioned.
