check your front brakes
after a couple weeks of my truck starting to wobble/shake pretty aggressively at about 25-30mph and down while breaking, I decided to finally take the wheels off and check the brake pads. I already knew there were heat cracks in the rotors, they weren't stopping very well and were worn unevenly, inside more than outside because of the calipers.
well, the calipers were really frozen 'cause both inner pads were worn at a pretty extreme angle with a noticeable lip worn on the inside of each rotor. also I noticed that apparently I'd left my hubs engaged for a few weeks. between the hubs and brakes, there was a noticeable drag in the front end and the brakes didn't work for crap, accompanied by an increasingly annoying low speed wobbling of the front axle while stopping.
pics to follow when I get a chance to change the pads/rotors. for now I just cleaned the caliper slide surfaces and put some high temp grease in there, works like a charm, now!
