would a 1995 chevy one-ton 14bolt dually rear axle work in a 1990 dodge d350 dually?

 

with the ability to fabercate you came make anything work might have to get a driveshaft made to get the right ujoints on it

 

would i have to fabricate anything or would it just bolt right up in there?

 

not sure right off hand the spring width might be different

 

i just wanted to know cuz i found a 1990 dodge d350 dually with no rear for 1800 and just found a 14bolt for 300. tryin to fit in my buget

 

I agree - measure the spring width, if it's the same you can get a U-joint that will fit the yoke, just go to a real auto parts store and they can look you one up. If the spring widths are different, you could just weld on new perches - shouldn't really be a big deal.

 

might have to also drill out the spring perches or shim but they can be found at auto parts store as well, center pin in springs might be different size had to drill lift blocks out on mine

I can't find a reference on rear 60s right now, but maybe someone else has pad width. The other option you have is its pretty easy to cut and replace the pads on a rear axle. you can cut the ones off the 60 and put new ones, or the old ones i guess, wherever you want them.

 

That 350 came with a Dana 70 from the factory, I bet that you can find a D70 that will drop right in for $300. Also $300 for a 14b is a little steap if you ask me. then yuo have to fab up spring perches, might have to change the driveshaft length, definatly gonna have to play with the brakes, ect. It can be done but for the price of the truck I would get the truck and look for a D70 to put in the rear. Is it 2wd or 4wd? 5-speed or auto?
