WTF!!!!
Blew a back tire the other day.No problem, yank out the jack, pull off the blown baloney,go to throw the spare on;No go.Center hole is too small. My 93 never had that problem.Block it up,pull a front off and try that;Same thing.Does the Dana 71 have larger hubs than the 70?Also what bears the load, the studs or the hub?No good havin a spare that don't fit!I was 25 miles out of town at 2 am,so I threw the flat back on and idled back to town.At a whoppin 4 mph.I made it back to the tire shop with no damage. If I had a swear jar,it woulda been full!

Nope, their all Dodge rims.As I mentioned in the 1st post,I put my spare on the front, and tried the front wheel on the back, same thing.Looked at it closer today, noticed the 71 has studs (I think) and nuts holding the axle in,and the 93 has bolts. The nuts are larger, and if they aren't positioned with the flat side out,the point will stick out slightly.Repositioned the nuts, and the spare fits, but tight all the way.Kicking and WD-40.Dunno why the other wheels fit nice, don't look worn. All have pentastar stamp on em.Measuring tape says 4 3/4" hub on both.Good reason to buy a caliper. And a flashlight for those 2 AM tire changes.
