im confused soo confused
ive got a 1993 club cab 2wd d250. its completely stock and intercooled. so ive been looking for injectors to put in before i turn the pump up. gauges are on order. my question is about the injectors. ive heard tons of different things about what works and what doesnt. i know the 2nd gen injectors seem to be cheaper per horsepower than the 1st gen. so my question is will the 2nd gens fit in the 1st gen. if so what do i need 2 make them work. need question is im going to be pulling a racecar trailer ,open trailer, with a 2300 pound car for about an hour and fifteen minutes once a week with no heavy hills, and then cruising around occasionally. turbo upgrades is in near future, and motor is having bugs worked out before swap. what would be the best injector 370's pods or what?

2nd gen injectors will not just swap in place of the 1st gens. The injector line nuts are a different size. You could swap nozzles from the boddies of the 2nd gens to the bodies of your 1st gens but then the pop pressure would be to high and you would have to pay a shop to lower it. By the time your done you could have just bought a set made for a 1st gen. Ask around in our price quote section, we have a few companys on here that can get you a good set of injectors for a good price. Some 370's would be a good match for what you want to do.

370's on a stock pump are worth a boost, 370's on a pump that has been turned up is also worth a boost. You could get the injectors and leave te pump stock and feel a difference. Then when you want to crank the pump up you will feel a HUGE difference. Injectors are deffinatly worth the money. And I'm sure your stockers a VERY worn out any way.

I'll second that your injectors are probably close to shot. Pulled mine out recently at 200k and they were AWFUL. I put some 370's in and have been really happy with them. my g/f gets a kick out of how much more I enjoy my truck with injectors on my turned up pump.
since you're gonna be towing a bit, you might want to look into doing just an exhaust housing on the turbo, will help it spool a LOT better.
oh yeah and an EGT gauge before you inadvertently melt you pistons down
