Yeah I'm just worried about not getting enough heat transfer from the air to the dry ice.

i was talking to some guys over at CK5.com about this and that is the same thing they said......i thing if you use the small pellets it will work.....if it dosent, oh well, it will be a ice/water intercooler then......got to get a AIT gauge now.....

Dry Ice wont freeze rubbing alcohol... Don't know what the side effects are... Also make sure you have a vent, don't wanna put dry ice in an airtight container. BOOM

Refrigerants?

What temperature does dry ice sublimate at? It's really cold, right?

The idea would be to blow air over dry ice with a fan, and then that air over the charge air, right?

Liquid nitrogen, CO2 or any other refrigerant would work that way at least.

Logan.... if you want something that is small and compact this is what you need....

Welcome to Cryofuzion!

i doubt in your design that you will have enough surface area with either dry ice or ice/water to make a diginificant difference over a 1/4 mile or 300ft pass/pull..... you will need some type of a heat sink in the tubing that will transfer the heat from the air and exchange it with the coldness in the water.....

Have you thought about running your fuel lines throw it all so. We did this with a drag car! The cooler the fuel the better it will run.Works on gas or fuel==Good luck.
