I hang around on the 3rd Gen area almost all the time when I get time, but I just posted over there telling about my first Gen I picked up this weekend. Like I said over there, I guess I'm an official diesel nut now since I bought my second diesel. It's a 92 2wd 5 speed truck that's been sitting since November of last year. I picked it up & drove it about 120 miles back home without a problem (except for the throttle linkage falling off). It's showing 246k on the clock but the speed sensor's shot because the speedometer bounces all over the place. It's clocking mileage like a stop watch so I don't know how accurate the mileage is. The truck doesn't show enough wear for 246k. It has the typical paint falling off & needs a lot of cosmetics but seems real sound & tight mechanically. I checked for signs of KDP but don't see any. The entire engine is clean as can be & the truck's clean underneath. Runs strong, no smoke & everything works except the cruise control. I got a great deal on the truck so I'm pretty excited about getting it restored. Does anybody have any suggestions on where to get replacement parts like exterior mirrors, light lenses, weatherstripping & stuff like that?
