Ok guys any help is much appreciated. The truck in question is a 1993 w250 5 speed. The truck starts and runs great it even idles fine, however if you have the rpms up say 1000 or higher and you push the clutch in to come up to a light and let off the gas, the truck with drop way down and stumble then come back up to idle or it will just die all together. It starts right back up but it is a very irritating issue. The idle does seem to be a little high but i don't think that will affect it.

my truck does not appear to have this it the location outlined in the article. is there one of these strainers above the fuel filter where the fuel heater is located on my truck?

 

my 97 12 valve had the same problems. i got the injectors cleaned, adjusted the timing, and then bumped up the idle and it runs fine now and now longer dies.

 

when you say adjust the timing what exactly do you mean? IP timing or????
