Default loss of power and than the engine died

i was driving my dads 91 dodge CTD today, and it felt very low on power and would not max out each gear. and then it died and thats where it ended.
i am thinkin injector pump? what else would cause this?

how cold has it been getting there (where ya from??) have ya checked your fuel filters??

it got down to as low at single digits here but it is in the 30's now.
the fuel filter is newer but i will throw a new one in it tomorrow

Make sure you put some anti-gel in it with the filter.

yeah thats what i was thinking is the filters might of gelled a little, ya never know mine was fine when it was -25 here two weeks ago and then last week it was about 30 and the dern things gelled up on me

you might have had some water in your filter. that happened to mine a couple of weeks ago. it was a bitch to get the system primed. i had to crack the lines to every injector before it would start.

Any smoke? if so what color? was it just down on power or running real rough also?

it was running smooth and idleing fine. i warmed it up for a few minutes before drove it. just very low on power it felt like it would not boost up at all. i will try the filter today and see how it works out.

tried a filter and it still wont start, any other ideas or am i looking at a new injector pump?

change the lift pump first....
