It really depends if you are willing to put up with the Drone of stacks them 1 st Gens. Are not to sound proof Esp. If you have a "bombed" it.

I say go with them.

stacks rule on a 1st gen!! I have a single stack on mine but if you have the stuff to do duals go for it. my suggestion is always go with at least 5 inch stacks. i had a 4 inch for awhile and i am glad i went to a 5 inch. good luck and have fun with it!

stacks are cool, but be ready to clean the horse trailer of all the soot and oil. Ever look at a semi with stacks behind the cab? the trailer gets nasty withing the first 500 miles, less than a day of OTR driving. OTR trucks meeting the 04 emissions arent as bad and the new 07 emissions are very clean. But its alot harder to "Bomb" a big rig. and highly illegal to tamper with emission controlled vehicles. 5 or 6 inch stacks look the best and sound better on pickups, do you ever haul hay or straw in the bed? Those stacks get pretty warm, not to mention the bed space you loose. mall crawlers and showboats use stacks, working trucks keep it out of the way under the truck. Just my $.02

I really hate to admit it but I think you're right. I really do believe stacks are just supposed to be on 1st gens but I've been considering the bed space I'd lose, I think I'm going to have to keep it run underneath on mine

that said, if you don't mind washing the trailer now and then and losing a little bed space...DO IT!
