it's the driveshaft off of my injector pump...it's supposed to be a few inches longer

Glad i aint got one of those IPs....i hear they are pricy and go out often.

Pricey, yes. often? not by far! 339K on the original before my accident.
the general concensus is around 800 bucks for a rebuild. Just get a stock rebuild, with 1 exception, have them install the 3200 rpm gov spring. My local shop will do it for 600, 800+ for a "hot pump"
Glad you found the culprit, but man that sucks!

naw I'm just messin with ya'll. Some idiot welded the nut and the gear and they had to do that the get the durned injector pump off. Got it back but the idiots bumped up the idle...this thing flies in D just idling along. then they put all those little dadblasted paint marks on it so I can't play.

Anybody ever heard of rebuilders puttin loctite on the friggin smoke screw? I can't turn the thing to save my life?

Some rebuilders will do anything to keep you from messing with them.

They put loctite on your smoke screw? I'm sure some kind of chemical will eat it up, but I don't have a clue what.
