Nice job!

I want to hang on to this thread... I got a buddy with a 1992 Dodge Cummins that is 2WD and wishing for 4WD. Now seeing this it don't look as bad as I figured. But now the economy is going in the dumps I doubt my buddy will have the cash to do it...

Got the brakes and steering FINISHED! also got 3 inches taller thanks to lift blocks. Steel ones welded to the axle so its....well..sumwhat legal .

The conversion is kinda easy, just time consuming and real meticulous. Take apart, test fit, take a part, test fit. Just take your time, measure twice and cut once BUT if you do do this, get the 4wd crossmember with the motor mounts. Less hassle, believe me, i kno cuz i cut my 2wd one down to make diff room.

your gonna have horrible bump steer if your front axle dont twist itself out from under the truck first..........

THE REASON WHY IM JUMPING YOUR *** ABOUT THIS IS BECAUSE I KNOW AND HAVE SEEN WHAT CAN AND WILL HAPPEN AND IVE BEEN THROUGH LOTS OF DISCUSSIONS OVER THIS AND NO MATTER HOW YOU LOOK AT IT.......ITS DANGEROUS......PERIOD........THAT IS MY STAND ON IT AND IF YOU CHOOSE TO NOT LISTEN THATS YOUR CHOICE......JUST GO READ MY FIRST STATEMENT......TRAIL OR STREET.....ITS UNSAFE....RIGHT NOW THE LIBERALS, THE COPS, AND THE GOVERNMENT ARE TRYING EVERYTHING THEY CAN TO PUT A STOP TO 4X4'S AND DIESEL TRUCKS DOING WHAT WE LOVE TO DO......SO DONT ENCOURAGE IT......YOUR THREAD WAS DOING GREAT UNTIL YOU DID THAT......

yeah lift blocks on th efront is a HUGE no no... On the back they somewhat OK. But the side loads that your truck sees cornering will cause them to shear and your axle to seperate from the truck. LOTS of added stress. Do your self a favor and spend teh money on springs for the front.

just thought to see what you guys would say . I put the blocks in the rear. I took it for a little spin around the school. Not half bad without front shocks
