I'm shopping for a 1st gen as a donor for my 80 d150 hotrod project. My first thought was a 4bt and eaton 5spd for $3800. Then I learned the eaton was non OD and I can buy a whole running 1st gen for less. I also learned there was very little weight difference, 200 lbs give or take. So, I know the 89-early 91 were non IC. I also read that the non IC trucks had bigger injectors. What are the pros and cons of early non IC vs later IC trucks? I have a lot to learn and have to start somewhere. Thanks
