Default Simple truck, simple build. Suggestions?

I'm going to be inheriting a 1992 D350 from my grandpa. It's a single cab dually. Well worn but no glaring issues other than bearings on the front wheels. What would you guys suggest budget minded, little more power and responsiveness. Would like to really build it up later but just fun for now. Also it has the 5 speed getrag.

Adjust the fuel pin and fuel screw. Governor spring is a big help too. Many vendors sell a pin and spring together as a kit. I went with BD at the time.

94-02 WH1C and Hx35 turbos have a smaller wastegated exhaust housings, so they spool real fast.

I did these kinds of mods before getting a pyro gauge... which was fine for just a little hot-******* around. Its difficult to get into damaging EGTs with stock injectors. But if you plan to do any loaded work with the truck, the pyro is necessary.
