Bad Injector Pump?
 
First off all back ground information, It's 92 w250 with DDP 100hp injectors, stock pump and turbo. After I put in the new injectors I was having low rough idle so I turned up my low idle to help it but was having run away problems in park and neutral. Been tinkering with it to find that good balance. Then I had my starter go out. Changed the starter, drove it home, it sat for a day and now its not starting at all, will just keep rolling over. I checked all the fuel lines at the injectors theyre all getting fuel so I do not believe its the FSS. I believe between my limited adjustments and bad idle Ive had with both injectors and now this the IP is bad. Anyone have any ideas??? Need my truck back its my daily driver.

With my limited knowledge on the P pumps I would say check the timing,maybe the governor springs. I have heard of people having starting issues with these because of timing adjustments. If you are getting fuel and you have good compression it should start. maybe a p pump guy on here will chime in a help you out.

In a 1st gen we dont have P-pumps unless a conversion was done, the pump we have is a VE44, Ive heard the same issues with those DDP injectors, i do think they need a timing bump, looking at the motor rotate the pump counter clock wise 1/8 inch and see if that helps, honestly idk why people buy those injectors, branding maybe? and those injectors are far to big for the stock turbo they are too big for and hx35 also, i have stock injectors and a maxed pump with and hx35 and i can peg my pyro in a heart beat. is there a reason you want 100 hp injectors? other than power? max the pump first then go with bigger sticks after a turbo upgrade.

I must be confused I thought the evolution was from the P7100 to the VE44 some time in 1997 or so. Maybe I am backwards thanks for the info. I try to help people out specially when you see 250 views and no one says a word thanks for chiming in.

it went ve44 89-93 to p7100 94-98.5 to vp44 98.5-07? i cant remember how long they use the vp44

The sad part is there injectors make good power but there cust service sucks and they seem to fail.. not sure why.. i had a injector torch a piston way back and lenny was a pain in the ass to deal with.. back then they set the pop presure at 240 bar now they set them at 245.. took them a while to realize the springs do settle and wear in.. but man i loved the way there 4 hole injectors perform.. i did buy another set but honestly am afraid to put them in.... i think i will get them flowed and pop presure checked first..:c:

Sorry meant to say pump has 3200 spring, I was going to upgrade the turbo with this but now I'm dealing with this so I don't want to start spending if I need a new pump, I'm going to remove them and throw my old one back in and see if my problem goes away

keep the 3200 spring, i would bump the timing first before anything
