I'm new to diesel as I got pretty lucky picking up a 1989 dodge Cummins for pretty cheap, hell I stole the damn thing. I got in it today to go get fuel and I got a mile away from my house and the "Wait to start" light started flashing. I turned the truck off when I arrived to the gas station and after I was done fueling up it started fine, then got a mile from the gas station and it started flashing again. Anything helps!
