ok so im looking for a transmission kit that will handle my 12v Cummins..
I have a a518 from a first gen that works great (for now..)

I have plans for about 500 hp
plan on the following:
injectors
351 turbo
p-pump turned up..
maybe some other things but I plan to stop about 500HP I have no clue what kind of torque that will make..

this truck is a 1978 f250 its a show boat..
I take it out and drive it on nice days do nice burnouts and race the buddies here and there.... no heavy tow no extreme mud..

I would rather pay more now than have problems later...

I want it to be reliable.. it will also get some miles on it for days I take it to work..

 

That turbo is good for 350-400HP max.

Borg Warner S362 FMW 62mm FMW 62/68 J Cupped Turbine, Higher Flow - S362FMW-J - Diesel Auto Power, LLC Will support far more.

Consider a 64/68/14 and some 5x.013 or 5x.014 with your p7100 pump to get closer to 500HP.

for the transmission you basically have to cannibalize a 47rh and 518 or go to a nv4500.

 

plan is to start with the 351 then compound it later...

I just want to build the tranny enough that I don't have to worry about it..
oh yeah and I want my tranny to shift hard.. like donkey kicking the back of your seat hard when you accelerating and manual tranny hard when your taking an easy on her..
