Well the salvage place sent me the wrong driveshaft. It has a spline on one end and a yoke on the other kind of like the 2nd gen driveshafts. Diameter is almost half of mine. I'm just going to have mine cut.

Can't catch a break.

Shortened my drive shaft and it will fit but the problem now is the u joint that bolts on to the transmission is too small length wise (from cap to cap). The caps do not fit snug up against the notches on the yoke. There is about an 1/8" gap from the little notch on the yoke to the u joint cap. The shop I took it to replaced the U joint with a spicer 1410. Everywhere online I looked says that's what I need. My other u joint fit snug in the yoke. Is this normal? I'm going to call up the shop and ask to see if they put in the wrong u joint but it fits perfectly in the driveshaft but not in the u joint

Took the yoke to the shop. Really worn out, have another yoke coming in next week
