Turbo upgrade
#12
an he351cw is a better newer turbo vrs the hx35. the shafts and bearings are nearly identical however. so there is no strength gain. the 351 has a -slightly larger turbine, a 60mm compressor and a very tight 9cm housing. the hx35 is a 56mm compressor with a 58mm turbine and a 12 cm turbine housing. so it is slightly slower to come to boost and moves slightly less air. HP will be very very similiar between the 2. however, the smaller turbine housing of the 351 makes daily driving a blast. the hx35 is a massive improvement over the h1c but the 351 gets the cake between the 3.

Ok thanks for info. When I get her complete. Coverted to 4x4 and fresh paint. It will mostly be a daily driver here and there. I only haul a load every now and again. I just want to be able push on the peddle and not have to really worry about my exhaust temp unless I'm Pullin a big hill. But in thinkin changin over to 5 speed verse the auto I have in my 92 I'm running now will be a drastic improvement

Yeah cool. I like driving my 92 with the auto in it. But for hauling it's not the best. When I get my 93 with the 5 speed all set up the way I want I'm sure it will be big improvement. Then I can tear down my 92 and clean that one up. And work on my 99 in process. Lol. Thanks for everyone's input. I'm sure there will be more questions once I get knee deep into it
