I'm doing the 47rh swap, and I notice that the 2nd gen starter is identical to the original, but clocked differently for motor/ cable location. Is there a reason so many get a 2nd gen starter and then grind the frame to fit it? My original starter is pulling a lot of amps and the 2nd gen doner truck had a 2 year old starter on it, but I really don't want to grind the frame if I don't need to.
