So when I got my motor tere was no intake horn or grid heater on it, sine then I got a intake horn for it but want to eliminate the grid heater with an aluminum spacer. But I don't know how tall the spacer needs to be. I measured my friends grid heater off his 98 , but I'm not sure if there same height ad ant find anywhere how tall they are.

 

just get an intake cover with out the grid heater, you just use a boot to connect the intake cover to the pipe. I have one and can take pictures if you would like to see one.
