Good day folks,
I have a 91 Dodge Cummins with inter cooler. She spins over & tries to fire but only stumbles a bit but does not fire. Checked lift pump with decent fuel coming from it, checked fuel from injector lines but the flow doesn't seem strong enough just pulsates out. She was running fine, my son went out to leave with it & it didn't fire, just done what I explained what it done.
Any ideas? I appreciate any help

There is a wire that provides 12 volts to the solenoid on the injector pump when the key is on. This is what turns the pump "on and off". The wire is connected to the solenoid via a spade terminal, and it is not uncommon for that connection to loose its continuity. Take it apart, clean it, put it together, see if it works. If no, use a test light or a volt meter to check for 12 volts at the connector. Good luck, let us know what happens.

 

I cleaned the terminal, made sure there was fuel getting to the injectors also put on a new fuel filter.
Truck didn't want to start it stumbled like it had done than I put the peddle to the floor & the engine belched & fired up. Running fine for now, hope it stays that way.
