I need to buy an optical tachometer. Am I going to have an issue if I buy this one for example?


The bulletin I'm going off of written in 1994 references a Snap-On Tach that has apparently gone obsolete since.

This will only get used a handful of times.

 

What kind of issue are you worried about? The biggest thing you have to worry about is how to put a reflective tab on the crank for a target. I would have to look at mine but if it is concave on the inside, you should be able to put something in there fairly easily and then you just have to not get chewed up by your fan.
