All it took was an inch and a half to start breaking my front drive shaft on a regular cab 5 speed.

I'm doing mine in 2" stages so I can address all the side effects as they arise. I have the leafs - not installed yet.

Eventually I'll get Jungle's HD hanger kit, and crossover steering,

The double cardan joint on the front drive shaft has limited travel. Some people grind the stops off of them to get a better angle, but they weren't designed for it. Hi Angle is one aftermarket company that does make a double cardan that has a higher angle.

The leaf springs shouldn't be any thicker, only arched more so you don't need to change anything. The rear may or may not use different spacer blocks. That is when you will need different U bolts.

The inboard attachment is not a u-bolt, but rather two independent studs threaded into the cast pumpkin. The are usually quite rusted, and its a very good idea to replace them.
