Default 93 cummins no power to anything

i need some help i i just bought a 93 cummins and i was driving it and that buzzer came on like before you start the truck, so i turned it off and knew it wouldnt start because my battery was dead so i had a buddy jump me it fired right up, and about 45 seconds later it just shut off by itself and now i have nothing no power in the dash nothing at all when i turn the key? any suggestions would be awesome thanks

Check fuses and relays. Batteries could be bad and not holding a charge or the alternator could be shot too.

my truck took a crap like this too. my dad was coming home from town and smoke started coming from the dash and now the radio and windshield wipers dont work. It also didnt charge. we put a new alternator on it and it still doesnt charge. thank god im taking the motor out and putting it in a chevy and get rid of the dodge

Yep, fusible links, possibly wire going to the ign. switch. You said your radio and windshield wipers quit working. I'd look at your fuse block, first, then go to the fusible links. I recommend that every Cummins owner get a couple of cold beers, get a tall bucket, a soldering iron and a external 8 to 10 fuse aux. fuse block and replace those damn fusible links. They will leave you stranded and burn your truck down.

my gfs silverado has had more wiring problems than any other vehicle i have ever worked on and its 100% stock. just sayin also a new alternator would not usually fix a no charge issue, usually its the regulator thats the problem on most vehicles.
