on the driver side of my block where the fuel line comes in from the gas tank to i want to call it the fuel primer or lift pump? i want to know what its exactly called and where i might be able to find a new one and the fuel line that comes off the top of it that gets bolted into the block

 

It's called a lift pump or some call it a fuel pump. You can go to a mechanic shop that also sells parts and get one there or you can look at places like puredieselpower.com or sourceautomotive.biz for aftermarket electric unit (some come with filters). If you go with an aftermarket one you'll need a block off plate
