i have heard of people running bit more boost out of that turbo and having stock studs and no problems. but anyway im getting a hx40 with a 14mm hotside so ill do head studs then.

It's not so much the boost that necessitates studs. Too much timing can cause blown head gaskets. I say this because I push 40 psi daily for months now and have had no troubles

wow, and here i thought high boost was the cause of that......... i was afraid to push my boost very far but now i might end up pushing for 30lbs..... can i get the dynamic timing advance kit from M&H Inc. and still be fine without head studs.......... i dont want to have to install those yet!

You could try it but I'm not sure if it'll hold as I don't have a lot of experience with playing with timing. With just the spacer you should be fine as its not a huge change in timing
