Im going to pick up my 89 1 ton dually 12 valve cummins hopefully this weekend.
As far as I know it is bbone stock. It only has 48k miles and hardly any rust on the
truck. I'm planning on fixin the rust myself but is there any motor / tranny upgrades
I should do to make it run or drive better? I heard that these models don't have
inter-coolers from stock is this true? and would it be worth my time to look into one?
Also want to upgrade fuel delivery a little. Is that just a screw to turn or do I need
a new pump and injectors? any help is aprecciated Thx

 

injector pump on your truck will be a ve whcih can be turned up by adjusting screws also look into fuel pin cold air intake. intercooled models started in 91.5 forward. anything prior is non intercooled from factory.
